This year's edition of the Paris Motor Show is probably the "greenest" yet. But since we're talking about a full fledged car show, the gas guzzling supercars are still the main attractions. Dozens of press conferences, unveilings of both concepts and new models that are already being manufactured, triumphant speeches and talks on the crises in the industry - all these mix under the roof of the Paris Expo.

And, if eco friendly is what you're looking for, then walk no further then Renault's exhibit. The French manufacturer seems to take the cake when it comes to green cars that actually work in the real world: the ZOE, Kangoo ZE and Fluence ZE are all full electric cars with zero emissions. And if were talking about electric cars we can't move further without mentioning Peugeot's tiny ION and Mitsubishi's MIEV.

But not all manufacturers went for full electric zero emission cars. BMW, Mercedes, Citroen and Volkswagen are fighting a battle against pollution by trying to make their current engines cleaner and more fuel efficient.

But let's admit it: the supercars with hundreds of horse power under the bonnet are still every driver's dream. Everyone was looking at the electric cars but were only taking pictures of the shiny stylish road rockets such as the Audi R8 GT, Mercedes CL63 AMG and Maserati GranTurismo GT. I mean honestly, who dreams about cruising on twisty mountain roads in an electrical Smart ForTwo?

Eco friendly cars are the future but unless manufacturers will make them look good and drive like real cars, the gas guzzlers will always lurk on our driveways ready for the kind of drive that leaves a smile on your face.
