The 2009 Ford Mustang is available as a coupe or convertible in four trim levels: V6 Deluxe, V6 Premium, GT Deluxe and GT Premium. The V6 Deluxe includes 16-inch alloy wheels, key less entry, cruise control, air-conditioning, full power accessories, a CD player and an auxiliary audio jack. The V6 Premium adds upgraded 16-inch wheels, a power driver seat and a Shaker 500 upgraded stereo with six CD changer. The convertible versions feature a power vinyl top with cloth material as an option. In addition to its V8 engine, the GT Deluxe comes with all the V6 Deluxe features plus 17-inch alloys, a rear spoiler, fog lamps and sport seats. The 2009 Ford Mustang GT adds the Shaker 500 sound system and leather upholstery. The 2009 Ford Mustang GT coupe sits on a 107.1-inch wheelbase with a 62.4-inch front track and a 63-inch rear track. The vehicle's body measures 187.6 inches in length, 73.9 inches in width and 55.4 inches in height. The cabin of the coupe offers 84.7 cubic feet of passenger volume with a trunk that offers 13.1 cubic feet of cargo space.
Inside, the 2009 Ford Mustang features a handsome retro-styled interior that recalls the Mustangs of the 1960s. In base versions, the monochromatic interior can seem a bit dour, but an available Premium package spices up the interior with aluminum trim, special interior lighting, and multicolored accents. There's a heavy dose of 1967 Mustang inside, with the dash divided into distinct right and left pods, blended with modern touches. Chrome-ringed air vents align with the gauges across the dash, and the steering wheel has three spokes with a center hub marked by the horse and tricolor bars logo. While the look is retro cool, many of the materials have a cost-saving look and feel, especially the plastics on the dash panel. An interior upgrade package adds red leather seats, red door inserts and red floor mats on cars with appropriate exterior colors. The Mustang Bullitt is considered an options package for the GT Premium mustang coupe. It adds a cold-air-induction setup, unique exhaust and suspension tuning, high performance brake pads, a front strut tower brace, 18-inch alloy wheels and special interior and exterior alterations.
