Doing a slimming diet program does not mean allowing yourself to starve. Remember, you must still meet all the nutritional requirements needed by your body during a weight loss program. However, choosing foods for diet should also be done carefully. If you want to get a slim body without disrupting digestion, try to be more selective when choosing foods. According to the Times of India, in order to choose the right foods, the following foods must be included in your diet.
Vegetables
Without eating vegetables, it is impossible to fulfill the nutrients you need during a diet. Do not forget to present vegetables such as spinach, beans, lettuce, or broccoli on plate. Vegetables are rich in fiber, vitamin C, and K, and folic acid. In addition, it provides four important minerals, like calcium, magnesium, iron, and potassium, which are still needed when you are dieting.
Wheat
Wheat are rich in nutrients, fiber, and vitamins. Dietitian, Honey Shah, always advise patients to eat wheat bread, wheat pasta and brown rice. Therefore, high-nutrition food is important and does not contribute to weight. You can start your day with whole-grain cereal or toasted wheat bread.
Nuts
Adding nuts in diet is the right decision. As a source of protein, magnesium and vitamins B and E, nuts are very useful to combat heart disease and cancer. Nuts are high in calories in fat, but it is the type of fat is good for heart health. Sprinkle them on salads, breakfast cereals, or mix it with yogurt. You can also eat nuts as a snack in the afternoon. A quarter cup or about 15-20 almonds, cashews, walnuts are pretty well consumed per week.
Yogurt
Low-fat yogurt is a good source of vitamins, protein, and calcium. Yogurt has healthy bacteria that can fight disease. “Three to four cups a week is good enough for your diet. But make sure you do not add sugar. If necessary you can add fruits, like strawberries, bananas and papaya,” advises nutritionist, Pinky.
Berries
The reason berries are in a healthy diet because it has fiber and also help reduce weight. Berries have more protective antioxidants than almost any other food. Antioxidants does not only protect you from disease, but also help prevent memory loss. You can prepare a bowl full of berry fruits three times a week. Berries can be consumed in a fresh or frozen condition.
