Aston Martin had unveiled an image of the AMR-One so far. The brand chose the opposite policy of Peugeot and Audi for this prototype: an open car and a petrol engine.
Aston Martin has abandoned its proto closed, based on a Lola for a car designed in-house, which is simpler in terms of logistics.
The previous model used the same as the V12 GT1. The AMR-One is equipped with a V6 turbocharged direct injection. The gearbox is supplied by Xtrac, a partner in several F1 teams.
