Rocketman is presented as a homecoming, an ode to the original Mini of Alec Issigonis. Reduced to 3.42 m long, with a spacious design mainly consists of strong, lightweight composite materials, so for this city maximizes the ratio of outer space / inner space. That is the original concept.

About as small as the classic Mini
The Rocketman ties in its external dimensions to the classic Mini, which was built from 1959 to 2000 and from 3.05 to 3.40 meters in length. The small dimensions make the park complete Rocketman still more compatible than the Mini sedan. Thus, the practicality is preserved, the manufacturer has come up with good stuff. It starts with getting in and out: The study has as the mini sedan only three doors. This swivel rocker, including opening to the outside. Also facilitate double hinges getting into tight parking spaces.

Also for the trunk is a separate issue: the lower half of the split tailgate drives like a drawer of 35 cm, while the top as usual swings up. A valve mechanism allows the drawer depending on the load demand, both for above and to the passenger compartment to be closed down. If required, a through loading into the passenger compartment is possible. In addition, the loading using inserts serve as a rear carrier for snowboards and the like. The opening to the top flap can also be opened when the rear carrier is fitted.

What better way to attract attention to a car than to stick big yellow neon tribal patterns purpose of camouflage. Hard to miss the car and masked when passing in the street! A camouflage that does not even watch his lines, apparently quite close to that of the coupe concept shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009. Note the appearance of a kind of retractable spoiler that was not present on the concept.

The beetle 1.6 turbo under the hood from now pushes 252 horsepower and 350 Nm,. This is possible thanks to a 2.5 inch wide with a Milltek exhaust downpipe, sports catalyst and a sport air filter. Of course the software underway. If you do not have to gehoefte 252 horsepower is also a package with 236 horsepower available.

The interior is upgraded with a new leather steering wheel with red stitching, gearshift knob with red shift pattern lettering, plus a leather handbrake boot featuring -what else- red stitching.
In addition, the package will include Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), which has a special mode that raises the intervention thresholds of the stability control system, as well as EDLC (Electronic Differential Lock Control.) These two features are on top of the already-standard stability system, DSC (Dynamic Stability Control.).

While it is not up to the aggressive driving abilities of its saloon cousin, it is very capable. Chances are you won't be driving it hard anyway as it will most likely be bought by families.I wanted to hate this car, but ended up loving it. I am still not sure of the looks, but it does some how manage to capture the essence of the original. A family worker, which also brings a smile to your face. Worth a look in my opinion.

The German automotive manufacturer BMW group have released impressive sales figures making the manufacturer the UKs leading car brand. This could however change massively within the next 18 months as Audi launch several new models that could potentially put them into the top spot.
Currently, the automaker offers four models (Hardtop, Convertible, Clubman and Countryman), which will be joined by the Coupe in late 2011, and the Roadster in 2012. The series-production Paceman will follow shortly after, essentially creating the first crossover coupe in the premium small car segment.
The concept model is based on the MINI Countryman and it uses the 211 hp 1.6-liter John Cooper Works turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Power is transferred to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and MINI's ALL4 all-wheel drive system.

In these modern days it is probably fairer to compare it to like priced cars such as the Volkswagen Golf. While you get slightly better class trim in the VW you won't be making the same statement. So you are really trading style for finish when it comes to these cars.
For 2010, the first nine months saw the group selling a massive 114, 869 vehicles within the UK and if this is compared to the same period last year as seen an increase of 10.4%.

The engine in the 2010 model of the Mini Cooper Clubman is definitely an improvement from the model from 2009. While the differences are subtle, they serve to improve the vehicle's power and average city and highway gas mileage.

The second generation has a nicer interior and they are a little bit faster, and seem to be a better daily driver. The second generation came out in 2007. The Cooper S has a turbocharger now instead of a supercharger, but it builds 172 horse power instead of 163.
The original classic Mini came standard with steel wheels chosen because they took up such a small amount of space. Steel Mini rims are made of stamped or welded steel. This makes them both durable and less expensive. They hold up better than alloy Mini wheels in the cases of bad weather and constant road abuse.
